Review Summary:

After spending a bit of time with the GEL-Kinsei 6, I must admit that I enjoyed the experience. Although there were a few minor cons, the pros were certainly capable of overshadowing them. In fact, the shoes were comfortable, fit well, and remained secure.

Pros

  • Very comfortable and securely fit
  • Delivers good support and cushioning for runners
  • Styles are attractive
  • Shoe laces are the perfect size
  • Very light in weight

Cons

  • Toe is a little too narrow
  • Color choices are limited

Asics has been in the game for an extensive period of time and they’ve always managed to impress me. I absolutely love the company’s flexibility and desire to produce shoes, which are specifically designed for runners. The shows are sleek, comfortable and deliver a good amount of support. Despite a few minor cons, I’ve found the Asics Gel Kinsei 6 to be great for running. Initially, I was worried about the shoe’s lace length, but this small con isn’t necessarily a deal breaker. Below, you’ll learn all about these shoes, their pros and their cons.

Stability And Support

Running is detrimental to your feet and legs, which is why you need a good pair of shoes that will provide an immense amount of support and stability. Well, the Asics Gel-Kinsei 6 can do just that and much more. The Discreet Heel Unit combined with the Propulsion Trusstic provides a level of support that is suitable for someone that stands on their feet all day and athletes. This combination creates a seamless fusion with the foot, creating a support barrier that is undeniably far more superior to other brands.

When comparing the Kensei 6 to the Nimbus 17, the cushioning is much better, as well as the stability level. When taking a close up look at this shoe, you can definitely see the how the design replicates the human foot. The contour provides a high level of comfort, while giving the foot support from all angles. This is great for individuals that suffer with pronation or supination.

Style And Appearance

Over the years, shoes have gotten much more stylish and beautiful. The Nike Free 5.0 was somewhat of a disappointment in this category, but the GEL-Kinesi was a hit and a miss. Although the shoe’s style is very pleasing on the eye, it doesn’t offer a lot in terms of selection. The styles are cool, but some people will definitely want more color options and the Kinesi 6 doesn’t offer a lot to choose from. However, the styles that are available are flashy enough to attract attention. Whether you’re a male or female, you’ll be able to find something that looks good and meets your needs.

Although the shoes are intended for running purposes, it is easy to say that they would fit well in other scenarios. Whether you’re running, nursing or working a 9-5 job, the shoes will serve you well and look great too.

Feel And Fit

As a runner, you truly need a good, secure fit. With the Asics Gel-Kinsei 6, most consumers will receive a good amount of comfort and won’t find anything uncomfortable about the Kinsei 6. The shoes feature flexible multi-directional stretch mesh, which is capable of keeping the feet breathable. They also feature the exclusive FluidFit. This provides the wearer with comfortability throughout the duration of the workday or run. Unfortunately, there are some cons to consider. Some people will not like the narrow toe portion of the show.

If you happen to have bigger, wider feet, you may very well find this to be a major con. For me, this wasn’t a problem, but it could become very problematic for some individuals, so proceed with caution. The consumer will also love the shock-absorbent guidance system. This is one of the features, which gears the shoe towards runners. The shock absorbing nature of the shoe provides runners with additional support and helps to reduce stress on the ankles and knees.

Weight

The market is overloaded with running shoes and runners need to opt for a lighter pair. This isn’t a mystery. The Asics GEL-Kinsei 6 running shoes are ideal for this specific purpose. When putting the shoes on and going for a run, I noticed that they were there, yet they never felt like a burden to carry around. During the duration of my run, the shoes never felt too heavy or bulky. In fact, they’re much lighter in weight than many of the alternatives, especially those from Nike. However, they’re not nearly as light as some of the other shoes from Asics. The Asics Gel-Nimbus 18 are much lighter, if you’re looking for that specific feature solely.

Running Performance

As a runner, you’ll need a pair of shoes, which can keep up with your energy. During my experimentation with the Asics GEL-Kinsei 6, I found that the shoes were very comfortable, flexible and not restrictive at all. They feature the FluidFit and multi-directional stretch mesh, which will allow you to run freely, without being restricted in any way. The rear foot and fore foot cushioning system adds more comfort and support to the runner, when they need it the most.

And, runners will enjoy the shock absorbing impact guidance system. This feature undoubtedly delivers the support and cushioning runners need to keep themselves in excellent shape, after the workout has concluded. For running purposes specifically, the shoes are excellent.

Asics Gel Kinsei 6 Overall Assessment

I have been wearing the Asics Gel Kinsei 6 for nearly 5 months now and I am happy to report that I no longer experience any foot pain after running 2 miles. These shoes are designed to provide a high level of comfort, support, stability, and style. The rubber insole and GEL cushioning are the best shock absorbent system ever and my feet love them. As always, I highly recommend that you check the customer reviews on Amazon HERE.
